Apple iPad Mini Pro with 8.9-inch display and Face ID may launch soon

Apple is preparing to launch several new products this year, including new MacBook and iPad devices, and most of them are expected to contain new technologies and will not be just additional updates.

Last year, Ming-Chi Kuo reported that Apple could launch a new iPad Mini in the first half of 2021, and it now appears that the device could launch in two weeks as the Apple iPad Mini Pro.

Prior to the launch, some key details about the upcoming device as well as its concept appeared online, shedding light on what we can expect from it. However, we advise you to eat this with a pinch of salt.

According to the recent report, the upcoming iPad Mini Pro could come with the same design as the iPad Mini that was launched over the years, while retaining the top and bottom bezels. It is also expected to have a Home button and Touch ID, along with Lightning connectivity.

However, there are other reports that indicate that Apple is adopting a modernized design for the upcoming tablet, in line with the iPad Pro and iPad Air 4. If this is the case, we will finally get the iPad Mini with a design that is almost bezel less and support for Face ID.

A concept rendering of the upcoming iPad Mini Pro has also appeared online, which reveals an 8.9-inch screen with minimal bezels. Apart from that, it also offers Face ID support as well as USB Type-C for connection. It is said to be powered by the Apple A14 Bionic chipset and comes in three storage options – 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.
