As we know, Apple unveiled four new smartphones yesterday; iPhone 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max. They are all powered by A15 processor, but there are GPU differences between them.
While the iPhone 13 and 13 mini each have a quad-core GPU, the iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max, as well as the iPad mini, have a five-core GPU.
And now, this A15 chip with a 5-core GPU has been tested on Geekbench using Metal API. The resultant score was 14,216 points, which is about 55% more than the iPhone 12 Pro’s 9123 points.
This certainly indicates huge improvements in GPU performance with the new iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max compared to previous versions.
According to Apple, this A15’s five-core GPU is “the fastest chip of any smartphone in the world.” It promised to deliver 50% faster graphics performance than any other smartphone chip.”
However, we don’t yet know how the A15 processor will work with the quad-core GPU, as neither the iPhone 13 nor the 13 mini has been tested yet.
