The realme brand launched its new phone called Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition in China, as promised, to be the company’s first phone with the latest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset which is also the new model in Realme GT 2 series.
The design of the phone is completely identical to the other two Realme GT 2 series models, but the new gold color is unique in its own way. First, the color looks very elegant and distinct among the three options. The backend has a dark brown wrap around the bezel, which makes it stand out.
Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition Details
The Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that offers FHD+ resolution with 120Hz refresh rate, 1000Hz touch sampling rate, 100% P3 color gamut, 94.2% screen-to-body ratio, HDR10+, and a hole punch.
In terms of performance, the phone is powered by Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor paired with Adreno GPU, up to 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. The phone runs Android 12 operating system with Realme UI 3.0 interface. And there’s a Pixelworks X7 graphics chip to improve graphics while gaming.
Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. It has an in-screen fingerprint sensor for security, Dolby Atmos, and support for Hi-Res audio. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery with Supporting 100W fast charging, it is only 8.17mm thick and weighs 195g.
For cameras, the Realme GT 2 Master Explorer Edition offers a 50MP Sony IMX7666 primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP 3D camera. It is said to have a 16MP selfie camera.
